There's this one provision that was leaked from the TPP, which allows corporations to sue a country if they perceive that a particular law is hurting their profits. Do you remember when Australia kicked big tobacco's ass when they sued over the law requiring generic packaging for cigarettes and they were required to reimburse all of the Australian governments legal fees? Well, w/ the TPP, there will be these special tribunals set up to deal w/ these issues, but they'd be run by corporate lobbyists and what not. They're just corporate star chambers, essentially. All they would have to do is take the issue of generic packaging to one of these tribunals and get it struck down easily. Won't be long after TPP passes that Australia will ratify the Second Amendment. Soon, they'll be free like us. There goes Australia's $15 minimum wage. It's okay, though, TPP will protect Australians from the tyranny of being paid a living wage.
