Unfortunately, no. You can expect the tea baggers to oppose Obama as usual. The rest, however, will not. They will bow to pressure from their political patrons. That's how TAA was passed back in July. You can also expect some Wall Street Dems to be in favor for this. Chuck Schumer comes to mind.

As much as Republican obstructionism gets brought up Obama gets his way on pretty much everything (or just finds a way to bypass Congress because apparently being a constitutional scholar means you should just ignore the basic principles of American governance whenever the **** one wants to). As a result a sizable portion of the Republican party would like to see John Boehner drawn and quartered and then urinate on his grave.

In typical fashion Hillary Clinton has flip-flopped and now opposes the agreement (after saying how she worked so hard to build it). Does anyone here actually think she'll manage to cash in on this? If elected I've no doubt she'd still go through with it.

As John Kerry would say
"I was for the deal before I was against the deal before I was for it again."

In short the country is doomed. I look forward to the next 8 eight years of arguing over if everything was Obama's fault or George W Bush's fault as everything goes to shit.

That is because most conservatives and right wingers love capitalism and profit at any cost.  This deal will have some of them salivating for more..

No shortage of liberals proclaiming this to be a great thing either though.

So why are said liberals saying it's great?

Probably the same reason so many Democrats suddenly think it's a great idea for the intelligence community to be spying on Americans without warrants, even though they were against it when Bush was doing the same thing. It's Obama's cult of personality. If Obama says it will make America competitive in foreign markets it must be true, and if Obama says we can't see it until it's been signed into law, then of course the people writing it aren't doing anything needlessly sketchy.

Kinda hard to argue against that with former senator Chris Dodd running the Motion Picture Cartel of America.

That's another one of the few things that puzzled me about him. He not only kept Bush's surveillance program, but expanded it, too. Many people were wooed by candidate Obama's speeches and were so happy Bush was gone, that they accept much of what Obama has to offer uncritically.

And I'm sick of hearing about the whole being competitive in foreign markets bullshit. That seems to stand for outsourcing well-paying jobs to countries that pay poorly, lack union representation, and lack the workplace protections that we have. It's hard who to feel more sorry for: the guy whose job got sent overseas, or the poor bastard that has to work like 15-hour shifts, lives in a dormitory within the workplace complex, and has to have barriers placed around the roof and stairwells to prevent him or his co-workers from committing suicide. I don't care whoever is saying this is a good idea.

I remember that Bill Maher asked economist Joseph Stiglitz why Obama was so all in for this turd of a trade deal.
