You think he might just leave the NW and let them go on pretending that there is no threat of Others, or to mount an ineffectual defense on their own. Maybe Jon would go join the Wildlings in The Gift. Maybe before he leaves the NW he sends everyone involved in the assassination plot out on a ranging mission so that they can see what's coming for them. Olly cries like a bitch. Regardless, Thorne must go, as in die. Jon was kind enough to make his tormenter First Ranger instead of sending him far away to a distant outpost on the Wall. Also, if Mel is gonna resurrect him, it'll be like how Thoros resurrected Beric. I don't know if there'll be an epic funeral pyre resurrection, thus becoming Jon the Unburnt. That would be cool, I suppose. If Stannis was spared, maybe he encounters Jon Snow later on, after he's recovered from his wounds, and legitimizes him. And you know about R+L=J. Let's not forget about Sam who, before leaving to apply for graduate school, was Jon's only remaining friend. What will Sam major in at the Citadel? Will his dissertation be about? Sam wants to be the new maester of the NW. Well that's the thing: Thoros didn't technically resurrect Beric himself. He just prayed (a last rite really) and the Lord of Light "replied" by bringing Beric back. Thoros says so himself in the conversation with Mel. Here it is again if you wanna recap: It starts around the 2:00 mark. Also, Sam's studies will be interrupted, I'm afraid. Some serious shit is gonna go down in Oldtown in Season 6, and Sam is gonna be caught right in the middle of it. Euron Greyjoy has big plans for Oldtown (or the Citadel more like - I think he wants something inside of it as part of his greater scheme, whatever that might be). I think the raid on Oldtown will be one of this seasons big "battles." Really looking forward to seeing the goddamn CROW'S EYE in action finally after five seasons of woeful absence. EURON! EURON! EURON KING! He claims that it was the Lord of Light, but maybe the Lord of Light doesn't exist and it was all him. All this stuff started happening after Dany's dragons were born. Dragons are suppose to be magical creatures, and the Warlocks of Qarth found that their magical abilities had come back sometime after the dragons hatched. Pyat Pree even states that being near Dany's dragons makes their magic more powerful. Thoros believes that it was the Lord of Light that resurrected his friend, but it could just as easily been that he has that ability. Well, that's kind of a shame. I wonder what role Sam will play in all this. I was hoping he would learn how to manufacture Valyrian steel in situ or something. Season 6 is looking to be pretty exciting. Anyways, if Jon Snow is resurrected, what do you think his first order of business will be? To behead everyone involved in the plot to assassinate him? Even Olly? Not that I'd miss Olly, what w/ his pissy attitude, and then luring Jon Snow out of his quarters, where he would be murdered out in the courtyard, and then participating in the actual murder itself. This would go a long way towards drawing me back in. Especially beheading that little shit Olly. Yeah, ever since he got all huffy w/ Jon Snow, he's been getting on my nerves. Maybe even since he killed Ygritte and then gave Jon a nod. Maybe Jon will banish Olly to a remote outpost on the Wall to man all by his lonesome. Also, in that last scene, the part leading up to his murder, and I can say this w/ little hindsight bias, but it struck me as odd that Olly was chipper towards Jon, b/c Benjen, a man Olly had never met, had returned. I didn't know or even suspect what was gonna happen next, but I found his improved disposition towards Jon odd, and maybe Jon should've exercised more caution.
