But rest assured, it's not because you challenged my view, it's because you challenge my resistence to idiocy and if I stayed any longer to try and explain what you did wrong until you actually understand, you'd also challenge my patience. And none of that is time and effort worth spending.

You know, I agree, not everyone should be allowed to own guns. A quick temper, relying so much on big words when failing to make a point and inability to listen and read what others say / write are not characteristics that makes a trustworthy gun owner.

Yeah... fuck that. I'm not a child, and I will not be treated like one. If I want to clean, inspect, or just admire my collection, I will freely do so in my own home, without asking permission.

As for the whole trigger happy civilian/police thing, I have yet to experience anything of that nature.  I carry a gun every day, and I deal with assholes and get pissed off just like everyone else, but you don't see me executing people over a stolen parking space. Police don't normally shoot people unless they're being total fuckwads, and either fighting with an officer, or disobeying commands like "Drop the weapon!" or "Hands where I can see them!" etc. If an officer has to draw his gun, it's probably because you were being a fucking idiot. If you weren't, and there's been some kind of mistake, listen to the police anyways, and don't do anything that could be considered hostile, like quick movements towards them, reaching into pockets, or you know, attacking them. It's common sense, really.

All of the police I've dealt with personally have responded positively to my concealed handgun. Hell, I might have gotten out of a ticket because of it. Handing someone a concealed carry permit basically says

"I have not committed any felonies, and I'm not a sociopath."

What people should be concerned about is how easy it is to get a driver's license lol.  I have seen some absolutely terrifying shit while behind the wheel that makes me wonder how the hell they passed the driver's test.

So your going to fight fully trained law enforcement officers and accomplish what exactly? Other then looking tough on the internet that is. The best your looking at there is a quick death or years in prison, and making the drive to collect guns look like a better idea. Honestly it's idiotic sentiments like this that make gun owners look like dumb rednecks. A drive to confiscate guns is not gonna happen, but if it did none of us would be served well with nonsense tough talk like this. We would all be better served by voting, voting, and voting some more. And if that fails? Peaceful protest. This whole "I will fight the government" is so laughable I can't help but wonder if your exactly the sort of crazy that should NOT be armed.

Also, aren't you trying to get into the FBI? Not exactly the attitude they are looking for. They have entire IT departments dedicated to the internet history of potential hires(yes, they can find things under an alias incredibly easily). If your serious about that goal, you might want to be careful talking about opening fire on federal agents.

Anyway, moving on. All the fire arms in my house are registered. I am curious how those with in registered guns would use their weapons in the case of a ban. Are you assuming firing ranges would remain open? Or would you just do your shooting in the middle of nowhere and hope for the best? Would you just keep your guns and never fire them? That seems pointless.

My guns would likely never be used again for the rest of my life, but on the off chance that I needed one, I'd have it. There would be trouble if I was forced to use it, but trouble's better than the alternative.

And by the way, if it came down to it, yes, I would fight back against anyone trying to take my property by force, even the U.S. Government. Although, Doc, I think E-ro is sore because no one was cowed by his idle threat.
