Speaking of accuracy, thats what I shot a couple of months ago, 5 shots at 100 meters with my hand loads. 

The Aloha Snackbar crowd hasn't been known for their accuracy or proper training. You see videos of those types shooting blindly over cover, using an AK from 1958, with a shot out, cut-down barrel with no front sight, and no buttstock. Like, what the fuck?

Sounds like operator error in that particular case. If that rifle was in the hands of a more competent person, you may have been in some trouble. Not that you weren't in trouble of course, 'cause people were trying to kill you and all that. You know what I mean.

Russia has been using the AK without issue for over 50 years, and it still works for them. They are predominantly chambered in 5.45, though, and have been since the mid 70s I think. There are still 7.62 rifles in limited use, though.

Probably, the Iraqi army wasn't much of an issue individual by individual but get a platoon of them and its a different story.

Looks neat. Completely impractical for any sort of zombie situation, and probably uses hard to find ammunition instead of common rounds you could scavenge from any store.

Making it the perfect zombie weapon. Rule of cool over rule of sense any day.

Yeah its just for fun of course. Don't know about the caliber but I'm pretty sure the rounds in the pic are .308 / 7.62x51 which is a very common round. Though with this 7 or 8''  barrel you're gonna lose a LOT of velocity, and no sights is not a good idea either.
