Saying that reminds me of the amount of times I've heard creators say "This is the story I wanted to tell, but I couldn't with where tv was at the time." That's why I think it's neat when series come back and pick back up where they left off. Obviously sometimes it's not great (looking at you Powerpuff Girls reboot, holy shit fuck off), but other times being pleasantly surprised? That being said, I'm still surprised at what basic TV (AKA not Showtime or HBO) can get away with these days. X3 It wasn't that long ago that the director for Gone with the Wind had to fight tooth and nail just to get the line "frankly my dear I don't give a damn" in it. Standards can change fast, really fast. Can't say I think it's entirely a bad thing.
