Been watching Doctor Who series 10 As ever with the show, its been a series of ups and downs quality wise But I think this season has been one of my favourites all in all, and certainly the best finale in a long time, especially after buggering up the last one. I continue to absolutely adore Capaldi, and he probably is my favourite Doctor. That speech he gave in the finale is up there with the Zygon inversion one. And like that it'll probably stick with me. Bill also definitely worked out and was interesting without turning it into the companion show again. The 'I'm black/a woman/lesbian' getting highlighted almost every episode did get a little old after a while, but whatever I guess, it wasn't tooooo in your face. There's something extra poignant about seeing a character you've grown up with having gotten old and just giving up on everything. That 'time enough' line was devastating.
Also not sure what to make of Missy's arc in general yet, but it certainly helped add to later feels with the doctor not knowing about her turn around. Hurts.
I do begin to gripe with all the weird ways companions get out of death scenes, though I suppose it is a children's show and good lord would that have been a brutal way for Bill to go out. the episodes in general have had some seriously dark stuff and I do quite enjoy that take on it and that resulting in a broken doctor.
So hyped for the Christmas ep. Two grumpy old doctors presumably finding a new lease on life? Doesn't get more festive than that. X)
Who the devil are they gonna cast as the new doctor though...
