Bojack Horseman. On season 3. So glad I went back to it. Initially I started it back doing my dissertation, where it was nice having something short to watch over meals, which ws really all the free time I had back then. I'd just come off the back off Rick and Morty though, and a mix of running out of any free time at all and its bad first episode kinda made me forget about it? Silly. People here and other friends said it got great. Which it does! Something reminded me it existed and now, ironically, I like it a lot more than I do Rick and Morty. Even when its a short animated show built around comedy, its so much nicer when you can see it actually build/ing into something. Plot! Plot is good. Its not just dark for the moment of it, nor do its stories only matter in their episodes they appear in like many animated comedies. It also has a remarkable amount to say about a great many things. Show's pretty deep. Been binging it but I had to pause for thought a great many times between some of the episodes once things get going. And luckily, whilst its often dour and depressing to obtain its substance, it doesn't do so in a way that overcomes the many laughs it has, which is all I ask for really. It maybe crosses a line every once in a while, but hey, that's black humour for ya. I'll keep watching! May I recommend Black Mirror? Cause that one is extraordinary Definitely on the to do list. I'm so behind on TV I should've watched already.
