I was under the impression all pistols are 'semi-automatic' sans revolvers. Plus being more concealable than rifles, they still seem like a much bigger threat for mass shootings and shooting in general than semi-automatic rifles. I don't really see how you can wave off not banning them because 'home defense' if you're committed to banning the rifles, which could also be used for home defense. Unlike anthrax or c4, generally speaking. Muzzleloading pistols are like, the #1 choice for home-defense! C'moooooooon Jimmayyyyyy. One more misuse of semi-automatic and I'm going to have to tease you like I tease Carolyn McCarthy for banning shoulder things that go up. Semi-automatic =/=machine gun. Machine guns are heavily regulated, and have been for a long time. Also, they cost a fuckload of money. A true full-auto AK can easily bring thousands of dollars, plus a fuckload of paperwork and snoopin' ATF types. Not to mention insane ammo costs involved with owning an automatic rifle. In my case, a rifle for home defense would be silly, and wildly irresponsible. Then again, I live in the city. If my living arrangements were different, however, I would consider using my AK. Its folding stock is just so handy! I hear they're good for hog, too. Not much of a problem here, though... Fine, for utter simplicity, how about this... if it would feel at home in Capella's "Big Game Hunter" series, it should be fine. If it feel more at home in "Call of Duty: Black Ops," it's designed for warfare and should be limited to only military and security/police personnel. And when in doubt, throw it in the BlOps category.
