I'd give it a 6/10. It is something that I'd only watch all the way through once (which I just did), however I'd be down for watching the fight scenes whenever they show up on television. Ben Affleck was great and I liked Eisenberg more than I thought I would, however I much would have rather had the traditional Lex. The movie felt way too preachy/talky to me and there were too many dream sequences; also seeing Bruce's parents get murdered for the umpteenth time was unnecessary. The fighting choreography was amazing and the best out of any Batman film. Seriously, Batman's fight scenes were kickass and should be applauded. Lois and Ma Kent felt completely unneeded. One could argue that they were needed to have Batman and Superman fight, but that isn't true because the movie set it up earlier with Superman telling Batman not to show up for another Bat-signal. And we all know that Batman can't resist a threat like that, hell, he didn't. I was really unhappy with how they both nerfed and introduced Doomsday. The film should have just been Batman vs Superman and maybe them taking down Lex for one reason or another. Doomsday should have come in after Darkseid in the second part (movie) of the Justice League film, unless they are going to bring him back for that, which I doubt and the character is pretty much ruined anyway now. I can't wait to see Superman get brought back within the first 30 minutes of the Justice League film in some bullshit manner. The film is a curiosity piece in that you might be tempted to see it simply because you want to know how they'll do it, but if you want a Batman vs. Superman film that doesn't drone on and on and on, then I'd recommend 'The Dark Knight Returns Part II' which has Peter Weller (Robocop) voicing Batman and is the graphic novel/film that Batman vs Superman is actually largely based off. That seems a little generous. This movie is a technical failure on almost every level of filmmaking aside from Snyder's ability to compose good looking shots. Like Sucker Punch. But somehow even Sucker Punch was more of a cohesive experience. It deserves a 3/10 only for Batfleck and Jeremy Irons. By far the best things about the movie. I enjoyed parts of it and didn't completely hate it though. 3/10 is what I'd give something that was complete shit and unenjoyable, but had a coherent plot (which is what I was anticipating that I'd give the film). Regardless, 6/10 isn't high praise in my books as that is still a D and something that I wouldn't bother to rewatch because I'd rather rewatch a good film.
