It's funny though -- Many of the people who like to shit on The Force Awakens for treading the same steps as A New Hope and Empire are also the same people who find KOTOR 1 to be among the best Star Wars stories ever.. Despite the fact, that, you know.. it's the exact same story from the Skywalker saga but with different actors. I mean, as Star Wars stories go it's the same old tune. Spaceships fly around, glowy sword fights sound like you're being whacked over the head with a florescent lighting rig, The good guys are clean-living humanoids with American accents, and the bad guys all draw squiggles on their faces with permanent marker. Disregarding that, I look forward to seeing Rogue One and how it may differ from the main line films. As I recall, in KotOR you're a Dark Lord of the Sith who's had his mind wiped by the Jedi in order to trick you into tracking down the Star Forge for them. How is that the "exact same story from the Skywalker saga"?  |
