I think your first bit is going off the books too much, which should just be viewed as a separate thing at this point. We don't know the Whitewalkers motivation yet (or if they even really have any deeper motivation beyond death and power). The differences does raise questions as to how it will be handled, but I'll wait to see how they do it before I judge. Ok, well I can now understand where you're coming from with Trystane. The difference is I was under the impression he was still in Dorne? Don't get me wrong, I know he was suppose to go back to Kinglanding eventually to sit on the council but I didn't think he went back with the others, hence why I'm saying he didn't even know she had died. I think I'm right about him remaining in Dorne since a lot more makes sense that way. Like I'm pretty sure we saw the Sandsnakes with their mother as the ship was sailing away? So they couldn't have been on the boat with Trystane... I need to rewatch it though, since I'm basing this off memory from when it originally aired. If you're right and he went to Kingslanding with them then I'll agree it doesn't make much sense, if I'm right about him remaining in Dorne at that time it does seem to make more sense though as they couldn't have found out what had happened until after Jamie arrived back in Kingslanding and was able to send a message (by which point the Sandsnakes trap was set and ready to be sprung before anyone could react to the news) Either way, like I said I found the Dorne storyline to be the weakest parts of the last season. It was given very little screen time and we really only got a couple scenes most of which were within the palace. It was very rushed plot point in general. It depends on what they replace their motivation with, of course. But as of now it is just "they are evil and want to kill". And they are running out of ways to explain it too. With Bloodraven + the Children all being dead. From the show wiki "To ensure Trystane's safety and avoid a conflict with Dorne, Jaime leaves him on board the ship once they reach King's Landing. As Trystane paints the eye stones for Myrcella's funeral, he is approached by Obara and Nymeria, having stowed away on the ship and sent to kill him by Ellaria, who has herself murdered Doran back in Dorne. Trystane attempts to reason with his cousins that they are family, but they ignore him. He is given a choice to fight Obara or Nymeria. Though he draws his sword and prepares to fight Nymeria, as she is armed with only a whip, he is stabbed through the back of the head by Obara and killed instantly, much to Nymeria's chagrin.[5]" It is also massively retarded in another way. Ellaria and the sand snakes want justice and revenge for Oberyn. So they kill his nephew....which Oberyn loved like a son. Also interesting that they have stowed away on the ship, even though they were at the docks when the ship had left Dorne. Huh, alright then I was wrong about Trystane. Really though, anyone should have figured something was up the moment the kiss of death happened -_- I might have been mistaken with them being on the docks (which my phone just tried to autocorrect to dicks for some reason... that would have come off wrong lol) since like I said, I'm basing this off memory from when it originally aired. It's obvious despite them saying "for Oberyn!" They're really just doing it for their own vengeance. I think it's pretty clear and intentional within the show they're not actually doing what he would have wanted, especially since how many times he made it clear he was proud that Dorne was a place they wouldn't do just that. It's more a case of cruel irony and weak justification on the Sandsnakes part that it's all being done in his name.
