Or you know, I like the formatting of Reddit And you wonder why we might get a bit upset spending our free time on something to constantly be criticized for our own decisions regardless of what we are. Also I am not part of the community management team. It is also nice to have someone else do the moderating because if I moderate something then it is "censorship". Please excuse my scepticism about you being who you say you are. Regarding the rest: Criticism isn't bad. It isn't hostile in nature. And when people are being hostile, then community management has options to deal with those people. And if people misinterprete "don't be an ass about it" with "CENSERSHIP!" and continue being assholes, they get banned and good riddance. And if need be, you ban more people until the people with a brain in their skull can enjoy exchanging improvement ideas without some nutjobs raging around all day long. Creating a healthy environment also means taking out the trash. That's what wasn't happening. And lo and behold, if the trash isn't taken out, it rots and the whole place starts to stink. There's so many people on the official forums who love the games, who love the work and passion put into them. And they are equally passionate. There's always going to bad eggs or the kind of folk that can't moderate themselves and they can be tricky to deal with, but that's something that needs to be done if one intends to have a community with thousands of people. Fidite Nemini BTFO B T F O T F O Translation please. You are fine being skeptical about who I am, if you want ill message you on the BSN, to 'prove' myself. You are now changing the topic of what you posted. Your initial post was more of an attack on the choices I (as an individual make). Here is the thing about forum moderation when it is being done by a company that is also the one who is putting out a product. No one trusts the corporation, and those that do post "positively" are called drones and pushed out. Do you ban those people who are being hostile towards people? If that is the case then your initial post could seen as hostile towards those that like reddit. You know what else regardless of how people are banned they are going to raise such a stink about things that people are going to call it censorship. I dont know if you follow League of Legends at all, but the amount of times people have come and complained that they were banned unfairly and then raise a large amount of backing from the community of "WTF Riot". Then someone at Riots posts proof of their behavior, and people say "owned" and that is the end of it. Then a week later the cycle repeats. Also to address your initial point, not every employee agrees with every decision that is made within a company. If you do know of one, where there is more than 1 person working there, please let me know I am interested. There has been a few times where I have said, I can not answer a question because I either a) Cant because it would go against an NDA or I simply don't have the information to answer it. Then get personally called out for being a corporate whore. Yup that is where I want to spend my free time.
