Someone clearly doesn't know their American history (let alone global history on the Second World War), but I'll forgive you for that. The atomic bomb was a crucial and game-changing device that did indeed help us win World War II. It also was not completed and utilized until the Germans had already been defeated (you're welcome by the way for freeing your country), and, sans bombing sorties against the home islands and a handful of holdouts in the Philippines and Okinawa, we had pushed the Japanese to the point where they had no ability to wage any war beyond the defensive (and ineffective defensive at that). 

Also, Einstein was not involved in the Manhattan project: that was the brainchild of Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer (an American),Enrico Fermi (an American), and the United States military (Major General Kenneth Nichols, United States Army and General George C. Marshall, United States Army). Albert Einstein's involvement with the creation of the atomic bomb ended with his letter and proposal to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt detailing the concept of the atomic bomb and the Nazi's proposition to build one. Alan Turing was more substantial to the British end of the war effort, specifically in the Battle of the Atlantic (which was declared conclusively finished well before we entered the war), but I'll thus grant his contribution to the war effort: It was certainly greater than anything Charles de Gaulle did, though of little to no value against our fight against the Japanese in the Pacific (a place I'm certain you conveniently forget existed), for which our own Naval cyphers cracked the Japanese code at the pivotal Battle of Midway, the turning point of the Pacific War. That said, you're outright leaving out other contributions that assisted the war effort (namely British and American efforts in North Africa, against your traitorous countrymen no less, Italy, and of course, Northern France, and the utterly massive contribution of the Soviet Union, of which victory against Germany would not have been as quick or decisive (though it was still inevitable.)) 

We won it through willpower, logistical capability (we aren't called the arsenal of democracy for nothing), power projection capability, prodigious talent with strategic planning, and our ability to grow and adapt our strategies. We're special snowflakes because of how we approach the world. We're take charge, and we don't wait for the approval of others to do our job. Our scientists support us and back us up, and of course, a very large portion of scientific research and development the world over comes thanks to the United States military investing in greater means of strategic defense. 

I don't think your scientists would be able to counter our military might quick enough to really make an effect. Collectively, the EU may have a larger economy than the United States, but on their own (of which you have problems agreeing with us, and your own internal inconsistencies, such as a lack of a coordinated military force between European states compared to our unified and very capable military force which is nearly as large (on its own) as that of every armed force in the EU (and much, much, much better equipped; you'd kiss any kind of satellite imagery and communication capability goodbye without us). As well, singularly, there is still no country on Earth that can touch the United States economically. We have nearly half of the combined GDP of all 28 member states of the European Union. Would you like to see the relevant data? Because I can show you the relevant data. As well, we take pride in our guns. It sucks you guys can't have them. I love all 6 of mine. 4 of them are military grade. And unlike the Swiss, I can keep all my own ammunition.

I doubt entirely that France is ideal as you portray it to be. Then again, your country is only around the size of Texas. We're a lot bigger, and we have a hell of a lot more pull and people to look after than any of your singular states in the EU. We aren't unreasonable people either. We don't believe in allowing ourselves to be trounced and pushed around by people who shake up the boat and demand changes that they haven't earned through their efforts.

The truth is, we can live in this era of U.S. dominated global economics and foreign policy, not this faux Eurotrash dystopia that you're shilling. That you're here wanting to talk about American politicians in the first place (when most Americans can't even name what the French Prime Minister or President or whatever the hell you have is, save the guy who had the sex scandal, nor do we care, because what happens in your country is more or less a drop in the bucket compared to over here.)

No, You don't know more about Einstein's formula than i do. It wasn't developed because of the war, Einstein developed it because of other reasons, But it ended up getting misused in the WWII conflict unfortunately.

Why does something have to affect someone to matter? It's just wrong that gun laws are as loose as they are. You know, I distinctly remember saying that Einstein's formula was written years before anybody had a WWII too on their horizons. You aren't needing to be repetitive here. And atomic energy was never misused. It was used exactly as it was needed to be used for, and used effectively.

Science is a practice, not an actual physical event as you are describing it. It's a process, and you're describing it incorrectly. It is not 'creative ingenuity' though that can be used in the engineering process that goes into making actual science work.

It's not wrong at all. We have an ability to defend ourselves, our families, and our homes. Why is that a terrible idea? The problem comes down to not arming other people when said sick people go on a spree. I'm trained and proficient with my weapons. Again, not true, because first things first, you actually have to agree over something. You have 5 or 6 odd treaties that each completely rewrite the system of economics, and when people from one country say no, it means it doesn't fly in any country in the EU. If you can actually agree over something, then you might get somewhere. You're good at sanctioning Russia and creating trade deals with the US (which usually works to our advantage). You did imply that we were not functioning. Our economy is rated first, since we don't include supranational organizations as a means for gdp strength. 1 country hardly balances 28 countries in that matter. Which is why you make a mistake in assuming that the EU is one big happy functioning matter: a vastly underrated President, George W. Bush had a great quote for the EU: "Who do I have to talk to to get Europe on the phone?" You have no real political solidarity, just an economic and basic policy alliance that gives you enough economic bargaining power to not be swept under the rug of the United States. And we built you up that way after WWII. We ensured the right people were put into office. You guys get jealous whenever we turn our attention anywhere else. Japan isn't so stable as to be able to hold up to the U.S. We're pretty damn stable as well, and sans a period in 2008 to 2009 (which hit you guys a hell of a lot worse than it did us), we've been maintaining a growth of about 3.2 percent for about 75 years now. So to say that we're unstable is just idiotic. We're growing, and we've been growing.

Convince me what? That your opinion ought to matter on how we run America and make our policy? It doesn't. America is for Americans. To be quite blunt: yes, we are. We are the dominant geopolitical entity in this Earth, and we have been since roughly 1942. What we say is more or less word just about anywhere. The truth is, I don't care how much you care about my country. I don't give a damn about yours. If it blows up, I'll probably see a 4 second bleep on it from the news, then off to more relevant and interesting topics. All I see is a bunch of people trying to put us down. Just remember this: See the moon? Yeah, pretty right? America can't hear you from the moon. We can't hear you from Mars. We can't see you from Pluto.

I just found out you're military, Which is surprisingly not surprising. And explains a lot really. Your lack of knowledge about what science is "Distributing" me. Science isn't just some knowledge you learn at school, Science is a mental process, Your mental process has to be clear and creative and free of prejudices to be called a scientist. Science is man creating fire out of rocks. That's science. But you obviously have no idea what that is and keep glorifying your beloved military.

Defense is different from having everyone carries guns. That's just nuts. And no, It has nothing to do with jealousy, I don't know how i can be jealous that you have guns, What's there to be even jealous about? Guns aren't something that was supposed to be glorified and celebrated, Guns were created for defense, Not offense.

Well, I'm American, and I don't think that the US is a special snowflake. Also, I don't have any problem at all with people forming opinions about the US; I'd just ask that they be based on good evidence. What else could be relevant to how much one's opinion counts? At the end of the day, I have no idea what this debate is even about.

We aren't brain washed, we're proud and ready to do what needs done, be it violence. It's what we train and prepare for after all. 

Science is no mentality. It is a process of methodology to determine facts about our universe. It is not in the definition for science to apply it to a mentality. That is not what it is used for. 

I'm pretty strong mentally. Adaptable, capable, and willing to survive and thrive no matter the odds, cost, or trial. The only kind of people who can fight and defend our country. The people willing to do what needs done to do so. The law doesn't protect me from a criminal who is trying to harm me or my family. Neither do the police. I do. My gun does. Criminals don't follow the law. I need to have my own lethal deterrent to ensure that I can protect my near and dear. Someone has to look out for me, and it may as well be me and my guns. 

It actually has much to do with my analogy. Also, economic strength has a lot more to it than just raw mineral availability. I suggest you take an economic variables class to understand the process of economics and what constitutes a commodity.

We don't live alone in the world, but we have the need to proactively define what happens in the world to better serve and protect our interests and ideology. Name a few times in history where we got our ass kicked to a point where we didn't come back later and get even on our own? I'll wait. A long time. There's no one on this planet who can even touch us militarily: not even the entire rest of the world combined. If you actually read the Iranian nuclear deal, you'll understand Obama highlighted the problems of the deal for Iran and how it would be advantageous for the US while being potentially problematic for other states. Which is fine: we need to make our interests a priority over the world's interests. 

I don't really care what scientific top minds think about politics: what measure is their opinion? They weren't political theorists. They weren't politicians. You'll have to prove to us how what you do affects us, while what we do doesn't affect you. That's how it works. And how it has worked.

I don't really give a hoot in hell about whatever you think this is or isn't. You're trying to tell the juggernaut in the room that you're bigger just because you don't like how it plays. Well sorry pal, we play how we play, and we play to win. Scoot or scurry or whatever. We don't care.
