As i said, Chauvinism in a nutshell. As Einstein said, It's nothing different from racism. To say that the US is the best country in the world is the same as saying that white people are the best race in the world. Faulty and idiotic thinking based on more idiotic, Faulty and childish ideas. And that's the reason behind every war that has ever happened. Einstein "Which is a german by the way and the one who gave you the atomic bomb", and Turing were the reasons why you even won WWII, Not because you're special snowflakes, But because of the interest in science and that back then, You were the lesser evil. Without scientists, You wouldn't win. If your actions affects the globe badly, You'll be stopped because then scientists will be on the less world damaging side. What you're saying that you're special because you made yourself special is something the facts will disagree with you right now because there are stronger economies in the EU and several other regions of the world, And as Obama said, Gun problems don't exist like it exists in the US in other countries, France is a more peaceful and stable country than yours right now and more reasonable. So verdict is, You can live in your delusional chauvinist bubble all you want, But it doesn't change the fact that your thinking pattern is childish and has more holes than an swiss chess. Someone clearly doesn't know their American history (let alone global history on the Second World War), but I'll forgive you for that. The atomic bomb was a crucial and game-changing device that did indeed help us win World War II. It also was not completed and utilized until the Germans had already been defeated (you're welcome by the way for freeing your country), and, sans bombing sorties against the home islands and a handful of holdouts in the Philippines and Okinawa, we had pushed the Japanese to the point where they had no ability to wage any war beyond the defensive (and ineffective defensive at that). Also, Einstein was not involved in the Manhattan project: that was the brainchild of Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer (an American),Enrico Fermi (an American), and the United States military (Major General Kenneth Nichols, United States Army and General George C. Marshall, United States Army). Albert Einstein's involvement with the creation of the atomic bomb ended with his letter and proposal to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt detailing the concept of the atomic bomb and the Nazi's proposition to build one. Alan Turing was more substantial to the British end of the war effort, specifically in the Battle of the Atlantic (which was declared conclusively finished well before we entered the war), but I'll thus grant his contribution to the war effort: It was certainly greater than anything Charles de Gaulle did, though of little to no value against our fight against the Japanese in the Pacific (a place I'm certain you conveniently forget existed), for which our own Naval cyphers cracked the Japanese code at the pivotal Battle of Midway, the turning point of the Pacific War. That said, you're outright leaving out other contributions that assisted the war effort (namely British and American efforts in North Africa, against your traitorous countrymen no less, Italy, and of course, Northern France, and the utterly massive contribution of the Soviet Union, of which victory against Germany would not have been as quick or decisive (though it was still inevitable.)) We won it through willpower, logistical capability (we aren't called the arsenal of democracy for nothing), power projection capability, prodigious talent with strategic planning, and our ability to grow and adapt our strategies. We're special snowflakes because of how we approach the world. We're take charge, and we don't wait for the approval of others to do our job. Our scientists support us and back us up, and of course, a very large portion of scientific research and development the world over comes thanks to the United States military investing in greater means of strategic defense. I don't think your scientists would be able to counter our military might quick enough to really make an effect. Collectively, the EU may have a larger economy than the United States, but on their own (of which you have problems agreeing with us, and your own internal inconsistencies, such as a lack of a coordinated military force between European states compared to our unified and very capable military force which is nearly as large (on its own) as that of every armed force in the EU (and much, much, much better equipped; you'd kiss any kind of satellite imagery and communication capability goodbye without us). As well, singularly, there is still no country on Earth that can touch the United States economically. We have nearly half of the combined GDP of all 28 member states of the European Union. Would you like to see the relevant data? Because I can show you the relevant data. As well, we take pride in our guns. It sucks you guys can't have them. I love all 6 of mine. 4 of them are military grade. And unlike the Swiss, I can keep all my own ammunition. I doubt entirely that France is ideal as you portray it to be. Then again, your country is only around the size of Texas. We're a lot bigger, and we have a hell of a lot more pull and people to look after than any of your singular states in the EU. We aren't unreasonable people either. We don't believe in allowing ourselves to be trounced and pushed around by people who shake up the boat and demand changes that they haven't earned through their efforts. The truth is, we can live in this era of U.S. dominated global economics and foreign policy, not this faux Eurotrash dystopia that you're shilling. That you're here wanting to talk about American politicians in the first place (when most Americans can't even name what the French Prime Minister or President or whatever the hell you have is, save the guy who had the sex scandal, nor do we care, because what happens in your country is more or less a drop in the bucket compared to over here.) You're missing the point entirely, Without Einstein there would no atomic bomb that helped you against Japan. Which was also in WWII. Turing was the one who cracked enigma, A machine that was thought to be impossible to crack. Without science and scientists, There'll be no military offensive or defensive. Military is another result of scientific thinking, To think how to attack and defend. So yeah, Science beats the military because science is what created the military. As for economics, The EU have a larger economy than you as you have stated and another country which i can't remember their name. And Japan has a more stable economy than the US'. You don't dominate economics. As for guns, You like them because America is full of sick violent people and they're given the chance to roam free with their guns. Results: Mass shootings every couple of weeks. So, Yeah, Good luck with your "beloved" guns. France is more peaceful than the US, That's the point, It's an example out of many for social stability that the US don't have due to its loose gun laws. Verdict is, The delusional chauvinist idea that your country is the best in everything is currently not true. It was when it wasn't filled with people with childish mentalities a couple of decades ago. However the US certainly leads in some industries as well, And that's admirable. But it's not the garden of Eden you think you it is, Nor is it even close. Mass Shootings are the perfect example of that.
