I have not read the redacted Mueller report, but I can say beyond doubt that if the roles were reversed (GOP controlling any house of Congress, Dem president), the oppo party would be gearing up for Impeachment as we speak. As awful as Trump is, I never felt too gung-ho on the idea of impeaching. If the Senate is GOP-controlled, they're not going to remove him from office, no matter how clear or damning the evidence is. Besides, you just get Pence next, or whoever his 2020 running mate will be (I've heard he may choose someone else). I much rather remove him democratically in 2020. That said, putting together the case to remove him might still be a worthwhile exercise. If he wins in 2020, but the Dems take back the Senate in 2022, the ability to jettison his ass could be nice to have. And like I said, if the roles were reversed, you know they'd do the same, so at some level it's about symmetrical warfare. Technically Impeachment is democratic.
