It was Brexit thread, but the discussion continued after the nation voted Brexit. So the thread's name was changed to UK politics.
Correction: After 52% of the nation voted Brexit, well actually 52% of those that voted more like if we're going to be pedantic.
*sigh*
Anyway I've already said what I've wanted about the current state of the UK in the Lobby so I think instead I'll leave this here as I believe it's worth a read.

I heard Farage's Brexit party is running in the lead for EU parliament?

Indeed, cannibalism of the dead is a cherished custom in Scotland. When a Scottish boy's coming of age is celebrated (a ceremony known as the Scot Mitzvah) he is forced to consume his own great-grandfather, bones and all, in just 24 hours, or else the local Shaman will hit him on the head with a magical stick that stops him from ever becoming an adult.
MPs have backed Prime Minister Boris Johnson's plan for the UK to leave the EU on 31 January.
They voted 358 to 234 - a majority of 124 - in favour of the EU (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill, which now goes on to further scrutiny in Parliament.
The bill would also ban an extension of the transition period - during which the UK is out of the EU but follows many of its rules - past 2020.
The PM said the country was now "one step closer to getting Brexit done".
The government says it will get the bill into law in time for the 31 January Brexit deadline. The legislation, which would implement the Brexit agreement the prime minister reached with the EU in October, was introduced in Thursday's Queen's Speech, setting out the government's priorities for the next year.
The bill also loses a previous clause on strengthening workers' rights.
I don't want to sound unsympathetic, but the people voted for Johnson, didn't they? I take it this is what they want. Of course, this will lead to the fracture of the UK, but that's another matter.
