We could all pile in there.

With the amount of people I've had to listen to in my time who blame any number of the UK's problems on some foreign element, I'd be lead to believing there's definitely at least some populist appeal in wanting to move away from that wherever possible. But I'd like to think that's just my experience. UKIP isn't in power yet after all, so we can't all be that bad.

Certainly the few younger people my age who I've heard talk on wanting out can at least vocalise why with some actually decent reasoning instead of the usual scaremongering.

I haven't been paying much attention to news lately, so I don't really know if there's any particular signs of leaning to either side. Kinda need to brush up again now that exam season's over.

Now a bit of context. Spain's current conservative party are remnants of Franco's administration, or rather, people who actually look up to the guy.

That's how fucked up they are.

They also do things like shut down Spanish/Gibraltarian relations. There used to be a sort of college/embassy here run by the Spanish where Gibraltarians could take Spanish lessons and stuff. There was a library filled with Spanish books and a bunch of other cool things like Spanish Culture classes.

But nah, the Partido Popular would rather we don't get along.

Which sucks, cos Gibraltarians are basically a people born from Spanish, Moorish, and British mixing.

Now, that's my PERSONAL reasons.

My political ones are more simple.

All the UK are doing is building more walls around themselves. Sure they aren't Trump walls, but walls none-the-less. Building walls is a very right-wing thing to do, and as somebody who likes the left, I'd rather a nice fence to say hi to our awful/awesome neighbours.

Also the fact that this is coming from the Tories makes it a no-brainer for me.

The most used argument for Bretix is 'controlling immigration'. So of course the Tories would take advantage of a world on edge about terrorism.

Boris must've loved it when ISIS declared England their next target. The fucker's probably waiting for the next big ISIS story just for those extra cheeky votes.
