Bogans sound like fun people to be around. Same as American rednecks. they're always a good time. I always liked those Holden utes. We were going to get them in the States as a Pontiac G8 'sport truck' but GM gave Pontiac the ax before it could be a thing. Damn shame, too. They looked even better in Pontiac trim. Fingers crossed for a Chevy branded ute sometime in the future. Why they haven't rebadged the Holdens as Chevy's and called them El Caminos is beyond me.The new Illinois State Police started using the Monaro Caprice this year, so that's kinda cool. The Caprice is an elongated Commodore, the Monaro was a coupe version of the Commodore but the ones based on the Opel Omega platform, not the Zeta Platform which the Caprice and VE/VF Commodores and utes are based on (as well as the fifth gen Camaro). GM won't sell utes in the US as they fear it'll cannibalize sales of the Colorado annd Silverado/Sierra. Although speaking of Chevy badges it's a popular thing among bogans to put Chevy badges on Commodores. The reasoning being that because V8 models use the LS motors it's somehow a Chevy, even though most of the ones badged like that are V6 models which use a Buick engine. Not to mention that pre-VE models are based off of Opel platforms and the Zeta platform was developed in Australia for the VE Commodore.
