Star Wars Rebels Season 2 - Mid Season trailer. Thumbnail contains spoilers for those that haven't finished Season 1.
Well, the Rebels Season 2 Mid-Season trailer has me hyped! Especially that Darth Vader vs. Ahsoka . I'm really surprised that all of those Jedi Temple Guards are still around, but I'm certain that Vader will kill them all . The "Old Master" at 2:24 is totally Darth Maul I'm glad they're planning on tying that gaping plot hole shut. Temple guards are also Jedi Sentinels. The Jedi Path book says in one of Palpatines annotations that most Purge survivors were Sentinels. Yes. Ahsoka Vs. Vader will probably be the highlight of the season. Crossguard lightsabers are there. Considering Maul escaped at the end of Son of Dathomir, yes. I'd like to see that plot thread end. Also the Yoda model looks horrible. It doesn't look enough like the muppet if that's what they were going for. This is a case where reusing his Clone Wars design would've been far better. It reminds me of the ugly puppet from Episode 1 in alot of ways. I hope this season gives us more insight on Episode 7 stuff despite being almost 40 years earlier. As I almost want to say Ezra becomes the first Knight of Ren. I just have this feeling. Now we just wait for Rawgrim to come in here and rant about "Childrens shows with no deaths". Yeah, Yoda looks pretty awful. I did like the new Anakin model, but am baffled as to why they didn't continue using The Clone Wars one for continuity. I doubt he'll become the first Knight of Ren. I think he just came across a random cross-guard saber. Cross-guard saber's were something that originated around the time of the Scourge of Malachor and regular Jedi used them, therefore I'd say that it isn't a Knights of Ren exclusive thing. One thing that I should point out about the Knights of Ren is that Kylo is the only one who uses a lightsaber, at least as far as we know. Look at this image of them  gun, gun, can't tell, can't tell, staff, gun . The Knights of Ren are something that will likely not be created until Kylo comes into the picture. If anything, Ezra will fall to the dark side and become Maul's apprentice. The trailer shows Ezra kneeling before him and I highly doubt that he has given up. Vader will beat Ahsoka and probably bring her before Palpatine due to not being able to kill her and hoping that she gets converted. Palpatine will probably turn around and zap her to death with lightning, thus adding even more meaning to the scene in Jedi where Luke is being tortured to death. The current rumor is that Rebels will be four seasons long and that Disney is going to do an animated series set between 6 and 7, that's complete speculation and there is nothing to back it up at this time, but it is still interesting. |
