I'm reading The Phantom Menace novelization by Terry Brooks. So far it is nowhere near as insightful or energetic as Revenge of the Sith novelization. It is competently enough written, but seems almost to be a scene by scene description of the movie (with some extra scenes of young Anakin). I'm only about a 1/3 of the way through, and they have just gotten to Tatooine. Has anyone else here read this that knows if it gets any better? I read it a fair few years back, but I don't remember a whole lot about it other then it adding a lot of young Anakin as you've already mentioned. If that's the highlight of my memory, I don't know if its going to get any better than that. So Revenge of the Sith is worth a read then? I remember having that back at home somewhere, but I never got around to it. Absolutely. I'd heard it was good, but was surprised at just how much the added EU lore, personalized perspectives, and tweaks to the plot made the story so much more compelling, not to mention plausible.
