The thing is these protest seem a good idea but what actual thing do they achieve?

Do people's attitudes and behaviour change?

That was stupid tweets and an insane backlash.

That was the entirety of it. 

And how they are intent to keep that attitude up nowadays.

BW's handling of criticism anymore is just pathetic.

It wouldn't surprise me? They were talking about moving towards other social media sites due to less overhead and exposure, leaving only EA's technical support forums to deal with any system issues.

A terrible move, in my estimation, because only your most loyal and devoted of fans will visit your Twitter or Reddit page and the EA technical support is good for little other than requesting a refund. But I guess no one asked me.

They're like the Borg of the video game world, but no where near as cool or menacing, just really douchey.

Indeed so. Like the Borg, EA finds a company that has produced a popular game, and then expresses the desire to assimilate it into its collective of dudebro shooters, yearly sports games, and microtransactions. And when you're a relatively small gaming company up against EA, just like the Borg, resistance is futile.

In all seriousness, this pretty sad and frustrating.

No... that's pretty much the feeling of most gamers XD

The industry is going through a severe lack of any form of innovation which can only be rarely found on the PC independent market which is currently being flooded. Most diamonds are buried with only a few poking out.
