Yeah buy people who though years of indoctrination have come to associate anything they don't like with nazis even when they have no idea what the values of what that political alignment are. Nationalist Socialism is a shit ideology for shit people. Totalitarian ideologies suck and are functionally identical in the real world. It does amuse me though that people treat Nazis as a right wing ideology. The core split between left and right wing thought is collectivism vs individualism. In broad terms, the left pushes for a fair society for the collective whilst the right pushes for a free society for the individual. In some cases, the two goals overlap, in others, not so much. In any case, extreme right wing ideology in practice would result in something like Somalia. The nation today that most resembles Hitler's Germany in terms of policies is "communist" China. Collectivism vs. individualism is not the only characteristics between conservatives and liberals, though. Another is progressive values vs. traditionalist values. In that regard, sentiments that the homeland must be protected against interlopers or that core cultural identities must be preserved are very much conservative ideals, while acceptance of change and not holding to one cultural identity are considered progressive. Nazis were very traditionalist in their value system, so much so that they saw any deviation of culture or race from their classical history of Kaiserdom as not only dangerous, but deserving of being eradicated in large numbers with xenophobic zeal. In that light, China is nothing like the Nazis. Their values have been to dismantle and destroy any remnants of the traditional culture, including religion, cultural landmarks and literature. They forcefully abandon the past values and instead forge a new rule of accepted behavior and ideals. So it is perfectly valid to say behavior that is against those of different countries or races joining a nation is Nazi-esque. Because even though conservative fiscal policies do not match with Nazi forms of governance, their nationalistic value system (the relevant set of ideals at play here) very much matches up.
