A plus for me is the emotion that Melissa brings to the character of Kara/Supergirl. On the other hand, the story-arc with the kryptonians on Earth is a bit weak and has been ignored in favour of the "villain of the week" stories. It didn't help that they SPOILER: Click to show killed Kara's aunt, who was probably the most interesting character of the bunch.

All the worthwhile moments were pretty much spoiled with the sneak peeks so apologies for that. I also have an issue with how Barry returned to his Earth but I'll explain that later. All in all, if you were looking to this episode to jump into the series I have to admit it's probably not the best choice even though Barry's interactions with Kara were the high point (and her giggling and overall enthusiasm may win you over).
