Recent events being what they are, now seems to be as good a time as any. So here it is your one stop shop for all things Shadowrun related. It doesn't look like much now but I will try to improve it as time goes on. What is Shadowrun? Shadowrun is a series of role-playing games set in a fictional alternate universe that combines cyberpunk with more traditional high fantasy. It's a world where dragons run multi-billion dollar corporations, cybernetically enhanced trolls roam the back alleys, and criminal cartels continue their centuries old blood feuds to control vermin filled slums. Think Dragonfall had a bit more freedom in how you could roleplay your runner.

Hong Kong is the only thing I've ever backed on Kickstarter. Playing a decker this time around instead of my usual mage. I agree that I'm not a huge fan of the forced "big sister" thing that my character now has to play to Duncan, though I'm rolling with it. I'm also not sure if I just was bad at it in Dragonfall, but it seems like I'm able to get through missions with a lot less violence this time around.

Anyway I said that I would post my character, but steam isn't taking screenshots for me right now. I used my favorite avatar form Dragonfall... His street name is Smokes. I mean just look at him, it writes itself. I went with physical adapt for this game. I figure if we're in Hong Kong I'm just gonna go kung-fu movie on some triad asses, and there's something magical about watching a dwarf do roundhouse kicks on fools.

It was freeing to say the least. I bought Dragonfall right after I finished Returns.

I used to play pnp every weekend with all my mates. it's one of my favorite settings in any series with the dark seedy corporations, cyber tech, magic and zany stories. It really is a blast to play, if I had a better computer I would get em all in a heartbeat... Also, Gunnslinger Adepts FTW!

I like it so far! The characters I met are cool, the HK setting is one I'm not all that familiar with, and the gameplay improvements compared to SRR continue. There's still a lot missing compared to my beloved pen&paper game, but the fact that we actually have pretty good Shadowrun RPGs to play at all is just amazing! Never regretted supporting both crowdfunding campaigns with quite a bit of money - people need the chance to experience how damn cool the 6th World can be!

The original SNES and Genesis games had pre-defined characters. In fact the SNES protagonist, Jake Armitage, is a character and companion is Shadowrun: Returns. The Hairbrained Schemes and Cliffhanger made games allow you to create your own characters.
