Bernie Sanders is weak. I remember back during the Health Care bills trip through the senate, where he claimed he was going to filibuster the bill to make it better, everyone hoping he would, him starting to do it, and then just...stopping. Do I trust someone like that facing stronger willed individuals, be they foreign leaders or domestic policy pushers? No. No I do not.

Hillary is just plain bad. She helped lead the do nothing regime in power to make some grade A blunders, then tried to cover it up. Even this election she couldn't go a campaign without leaking sensitive information out of the CIA thanks to her email and computer use. She's Nixon 2.0, and I don't much want another Nixon in office.

And the other 3 might as well have not even bothered. None of them managed to snag any sort of swell from this debate. So its pretty much between a Weakling and a Crook.

That seems rather odd, especially in our political system where you NEED (dare I say are REQUIRED) to have support from others in Congress. He made his statement, saw that it had little to no support, and then ended it. If you're a "lone wolf"  and you try to actually filibuster something in the Senate it generally does not end up working out in the long run. You can just ask Ted Cruz about that one. Hell, he's anti abortion/planned parenthood, but I didn't seem him throwing yet another hissy fit leading to the shutdown of the federal government about the PP funding.

There's kind of a reason why our founding fathers (who get associated with way too many things than they should actually receive credit for) made it so that people in congress were REQUIRED to compromise to get things done... 

You're going to have to explain what you mean by the "do nothing regime in power" means exactly. Are you referring to the Obama administration or the Republican led do nothing but waste tax payer money congress?

If Hilary actually leaked information from the CIA she would not be running for president, she'd be locked up on treason charges (which would of course be lowered to some lesser charge).

I'd rather be voting for a weakling (which I'm questioning you on) or a crook over whatever the hell the Republicans have running. They have a billionaire megalomaniac, a neurosurgeon who's really making people question the quality of his education, Carly 'The Layoff Queen' Fiorina, followed by numerous others who are so insignificant to even warrant a nickname.  

Lol, the recession was caused because politicians are stunningly ignorant of all things legal and financial, both Democrats and Republicans are fucking idiots on that matter, so are Labor and the Lib Dems here, less so for the Conservatives given how many of the old boys work in the City of London. 

Securitisation, the originator of the financial crisis had it's origins in the 1980's. Governments of every stripe have been happy to go along with Wall Street and the City of London while receiving a massive tax windfall. The deliberately turned a blind eye to things or tinkered round the edges and piled legislation onto the system which we all ignored anyway as it was so easy to circumvent and the regulators were utter shit. 

Throw in the Fed's inability to restrict and maintain control in the financial system, beyond adjusting the interest rates only furthered problems as financial institutions used the period of economic boom from 1997 - 2008 to increase their risk position without hedging their liabilities given the fair weather climate of the economy. Rampant government over spending in the EU the precipitated the sovereign debt crisis when the global economy slowed down, no longer able to rely on the huge tax income from the financial centers.

I'm a Canuck so I have no stake in this but I like Bernie Saunders.

Yes, he's weak because he capitulated on an issue he claimed to be adamant and strongly opinionated on. Compromise has its place, and it shouldn't come at the cost of the people. Bernie let it be at the cost of the people, giving big pharma a massive boost in revenue without any sort of concessions to help the people. This man claims he'll fight against big corporate influence but he doesn't have the willingness to stand by his views while in office.

The do nothing regime is for the obama administration, who haven't ended the wars in the middle east, increased our military budgets and the military industrial complex, done nothing to improve the situation in mexico, nothing to improve social programs of our country, brought no chsnge to the economy say for keeping it in a continuous recession, made a healthcare reform that amounts to mandatory health insurance payments by the people to the corporations, and brought neither hope nor change. The man didn't even manage to shut down Guantanamo. He's a do nothing president like half the other presidents in office, with no accomplishment worth remembering beyond his name and race.

The republicans suck. They helped to bring things to this state but it wasn't them alone. It's not like the demcrats brought much answers to the table in terms of improving social programs or reforming unnecessary governmental bodies. Half of them are in the pocket of big corps same as the republicans. And the othet half listen to crazy fringe groups who want similar stupid shit as the right wing, only on the opposite approach. Cultural appropriation lessons in class instead of Creationism is still ideological triff based on 0 empirical evidence.

Hillary Clinton did leak information. The FBI wouldn't be investigating her ir she wasn't,  and she wouldn't have mass deleted her emails and off site storage spaces, requiring the companies who hosted them to datamine the info to recover it, of she wasn't trying to hide it. She messed up, and she tried tk cover it up. The fact democrats keep defending her on this point is all I need to know they're as fanatically corrupt as the republicans.

See, comments such as these are what has really turned me off to the political process in the U.S. -- not simply the disrespect towards different opinions (I can tolerate that) but the mindless nature of both criticism and support in this arena. Whatever thoughtful/rational analysis there may be of a candidate's policies, the vast majority of that is drowned out by silly, symbolic responses such as these ones, and then we wonder why campaign ads are so vitriolic and lacking in any real substance other than mudslinging -- the candidates are simply following the trend set by the people whose vote they need. 'Can hardly fault them for doing what they need to do.

This also goes hand-in-hand with my belief that the popular vote should not directly determine the Presidency (cue in the Libertarian hysterics such as "Oh noez, Jim Crow!").

I did not watch the debate. I wanted to, but I cannot work the TV when I want to because I never use it (LOL). I think I'll watch it on YouTube or something when I'm free. However, I do like hearing that the Democratic candidates have been relatively focused on relevant issues and are generally acting in a much more mature way than their Republican counterparts. 'Wonder if the GOP will get the message and get their acts together. Kinda doubt it, seeing as their past election defeat has not seemed to teach them anything. They have gone from failing to capture the minority vote to outright attacking minorities in their campaigns.
