I guess I spoke too soon... While I would've preferred that Barry had travelled to another Earth at the end of season 1 they did the next best thing... and that's having the villains (and hero) of Earth-2 come to Earth-1. This is great news because now the series can tell stories from both worlds and draw upon the villains and heroes of Earth-2 as well. Also, the return of Harrison Wells! I certainly hope they don't make him a villain in Earth-2, that'd be a tad too repetitive. I thought the whole "I don't trust newcomers" arc dragged a bit and was also somewhat hypocritical of Barry considering how easily he accepts Patty (another character I hope isn't later revealed to be a villain). Other than that, I think it was a solid episode, definitely superior to the premiere.
Looks like Barry got himself another mentor. It'll be awesome when Garrick recovers his powers. Doubt Patty will be a villain as she is a hero support character from the comic. As for Wells I have a feeling they will just play him to feel like a Villain until he and Barry meet just to keep that tension up then Wells shows he is a good guy. I also love the more retro feel Earth-2 has, makes me hope they do a spin-off series based on it even more. Can't wait for Garrick to get his powers back as well
I'm also curious to see if they will pull characters from other earth's as well like Earth-3 were the characters morality is switched (good guys are bad guys and vice versa) or even the earth where everyone is the opposite gender of there Earth-1 counterparts[/spoilers]
Retro Earth-2 has so much potential. Really looking forward to some episodes taking place there. Maybe Barry will cross over to lend a hand?
