The term "your" makes it sound like it was solely you that took part in it or that you were the direct cause of it, so that's probably a bit incorrect.

Seriously? You are seriously unaware of what you and a handful of others did? The arguments that went from thread to thread to thread? The arguments that caused these rules to be a thing?!

Are you serious? For there to be a war, there have to be two sides fighting. I've never fought anyone on this board, I've merely called people out on their bullshit, that's it. If you wanna call that a "war", be my guest, but in my opinion labeling that a "war" is a little bit over dramatic.


Seriously, some of you really need to lighten up and realize that this is just an internet forum, not world war 3.

As an officially declared waste of oxygen le ebin trolle, I think the rules are fine in theory. It just hinges on the amount of faith we place in the likes of Vroom and Liam, since moderator discretion plays a large part in determining what's okay and not okay.

I don't think from a practical sense too much changes. It's a little pre-emptive rather than reactive. As Liam stated, the changes were already in effect since the maintenance and no one seemed to notice until this announcement.

I also suspect having clearer ground rules means it discourages some of us here to stop sending exaggerated reports that deal with grey areas. With the way Vroom talks about receiving reports compared to how little disciplinary action has been actually taken, there's probably people abusing/spamming the report system due to the unclear nature of the prior rules.

I think there's a tendency to be mean amongst some of the users here, even when there's no real purpose or benefit to doing so. This is a small community that needs to grow in order to be sustainable. It's why I'm happy to have my kid gloves on as opposed to posting as if I were on some anonymous imageboard.

At the same time, I really haven't seen anything on here that's all that bad. The worst I've seen have been the personal spats between some of the users. In general, I tend to think that offense is taken, not given. Being offended over something is always a reaction, not something that's pushed upon someone. And in this case, we are talking about words on an internet forum. Simply put, people's skins are far too thin if they take offense to the things they see here that don't already break the rules.

In general, people's skins are too thin. The idea of having "words or things that can't be spoken because they're too offensive" never appeals to me. But then I'm an Australian. We fling shit at one another all the time under the idea that words are harmless, it's the context and intent which matters.

Agreed, especially for doing disgusting things like putting up with a 3DPD.
