I'm still pissed about several things in season 5

Season 5 broke the magic for me. Not that it broke from the story of the books. I'm fine with that.

It's that the show, in and of itself, just wasn't good. Dorne was bad. The Wall had potential, then became bad. The Meereen plot was pointless. King's Landing was bad. Who the fuck knows what's going on in Braavos. Winterfell was bad. And, worst of all, Stannis, and how the writers just out and out shat on his character.

Good for you man. Be it because the books and previous seasons gave me higher expectations, or I had too high standards, S5 was just... not good.

And believe me, I defend the series from the book nerds, since I'm fine with seeing how HBO adapts their own story. But this was the season that showed me that the writing really isn't as great as they thought it was. There were times that I felt they should have kept closer to the books - not because the books are intrinsically better, but because they simply had a better story than what the show had.

What was the point of Dorne? How come the Night's Watch just up and betrayed Jon Snow, after he returns from Hardhome with several brothers and Wildlings completely terrified out of their minds at the massacre they saw and can verify? They didn't build things up at all. Things just happened at the end. I can't think of the reason for the season, honestly.

So good, but so bad.

I predict the death of Ned Stark!

So, Sansa is little more than a punching bag in order to get an emotional response out of viewers?
