They've been talking a lot about "breaking the wheel" in Daenerys. I find it a rather interesting concept, and a familiar one since it's really just like the "breaking the cycle" (Mass Effect for example) that we've seen before. I'm kind of glad it wasn't just a throw away empty line that was just there to try and make her sound cool. For the first real time I kind of find myself liking Daenerys as she has moments where she is confronted with the reality that for her to do that she can't just justify all her actions on what the people who came before her did if she really wants to create the kind of world she talks about. This expanded to Jon as well in the latest episode as he let go of his pride. Perhaps the Night King will be the one to break the cycle? Wouldn't surprise me.

Another kind of neat thing I found was how regardless of how Jons suicide squad felt about each other, the moment shit hit the fans everything else faded away. Really nailed the point that this is an enemy where politics mean nothing. The true fight is the living versus the dead, and if they don't fight and protect each other they will die as well.

I also wonder where Bran is... Has he just been sitting by that tree this entire time? His abilities seem like they would have come in handy with Sansa and Aria considering if the northern lords leave that could be really bad if and when the Night King attacks? Hopefully we'll get to see more of him in the final episode doing something.

I honestly didn't expect Sansa to turn on Littlefinger, even though it was past overdue.

Cersei's pledge to fight together seemed too good to be true. Pity, because her real agenda is predictably dull.

Jon and Daenerys totally didn't do it, and Tyrion totally wasn't spying on them. Nobody saw that one coming.

Laser-breathing dragon? Seriously? I was looking for an all-out battle, instead they just melted the walls and resumed their march.
