I think its more likely that this is a combination of ineptness on the part of community management and moderation that makes a FIFA ethics committee look dedicated rather than malicious intent.  They are far more concerned with creating a space where they can receive endless praise from their fans than getting feedback.

This reminds me of when the WoWs off-topic forum was closed down a couple years ago.

Even from a psychological perspective their actions do not make sense. Although, MOST of what they're saying does make sense, it's just this quote block that doesn't.



 Seeing as they BARELY interacted with the community on the "new" forums I fail to see how there's anything occurring on the BioWare forums that is not found elsewhere. Even Bethesda's (insert other game forums as well) forum has an off-topic section, but I generally can't stand their community to stay. 

Besides, I preferred our Paradox thread section over the actual Paradox forums for talking about Crusader Kings 2.

On a related note, I wonder if this decision was related to Fallout 4 coming out soon...  O_o

Another side note, we need a whistle emote dammit! 

He... been a loyal customer since the first Baldurs Gate, active on the forums since 2009 and even after the whole DA2 and ME3 ending mess I still stayed because I still believed in BiOWare and liked the community. Never thought that I would see the decline of the BSN community in favour of "Vote everything negativ down!!"-Reddit, SJW-tumblr and that mess called facebook. It's a damn shame.
