If there are some major issues then those can overshadow everything else so that it's nearly impossible to be happy about anything except solutions for said issues. However, when things are normal (or just some standard problems that I have learned to deal with) then I find it possible to draw happiness out of various things.^^ A tasty and hot cup of tea while it's raining outside, my fav football team winning etc...
