I think Ben Carson has a level head on his shoulders, and he shares my hatred of political correctness. But I also think he's a little too meek and mild for the job. I watched a video of Ted Cruz exposing corruption in both houses of Congress. That certainly scored some points with me and he's seems like he's willing to crack the whip when he needs to. Jeb Bush was the governor of Florida, my state, and I thought he did an admirable job. But I feel his stance on illegal immigration isn't strong enough. Honestly, there are so many candidates for the Republican party that it really makes deciding who to vote for difficult. The second debate is a few weeks away and I'm looking forward to it. But I really wish I could just sit down with these people and actually have a conversation with them like anybody else. What I can say with certainty however is this: I won't be voting for Trump. The last thing we need is another celebrity as president.

As I've said before, Bernie Sanders is who I support, but in all honesty, analyzing the data (STATA sheets incoming for those who want to read it) know its probably going to be Hillary v. Bush. I'll vote for Hillary, but I'd rather not have to. I'd take Biden over her. None of the GOP candidates are even worth a damn. Even Fox News thinks they're a clown show. Not that I'd likely vote Republican anyway (shoot, they could probably put a dead body up on the podium and I'd vote for it over any Conservative). I can't name a single policy or paradigm that I agree with from any member of the GOP. They're each a whack out of touch and extreme. I'd like to see Bernie's plan for Veteran benefits: he did a marvelous job chairing the senate committee for those, and I want to see how his views go as far as taking care of our warriors - my comrades in arms. I'm sure he'll be taking care of us.
