You don't understand her mentality because you can't relate to her. Doesn't make her a "whiny little bitch". "Don't get me started on this". Max Caulfield is one of my favorite characters in the gaming industry. And no, I don't think the game is a rip-off. But the whole argument of ripping-off and creative similarities is another lengthy topic. What is there to not understand? She's just an average, mundane, boring middle-class, privileged white chick with no real problems, who thinks she has it rough and constantly talks as if she's about to cry. Chloe is possibly even worse. Another privileged white chick with no real problems who acts like her life is falling apart. Cry me a fucking river. Good thing i saw this post. Max is nothing but average, Games like Tomb Raider and Life is Strange capture the spirit of what it really takes to develop a brilliant character. Confidence isn't something you're born with, It's something you gain after you create your own character and become comfortable in your own skin. Tomb Raider 2013's Lara Croft is an another example of correct character development. You don't share this mentality, Your journey in life is different, So therefore you can't relate to her and more importantly can't understand her. As for Chloe, I'm not her biggest fan, But that's how she is, Like it or leave it. And she kinda grew on me, She's a great person, Just as Lukas said, Maybe self-destructive or rash. The fact that you're calling them privileged is a whole another thing that i could spend the next hour talking about it and it would derail this thread completely.
