Yeah, that about sums it up for me. I don't know why (yet) but I liked the action and pacing in the first one better. This one tried to take itself more seriously and I don't think it worked. Also, to my mind, Lara Croft's a solo act, pairing her with Butler's Terry Sheridan throughout the entire movie and throwing some kind of romance subplot into the mix worked against it rather than for it. Definitely. All those points I find agreeing with. The romance sideplot did not need to be there. That killed a lot of the movie. Also long scenes that didn't add to advancing the plot. Agreed, I found myself pausing this movie from time to time and doing something else. By the by, do you happen to know why they didn't make a third movie? I've read Angelina had signed a two sequel deal.
