But the PS4's also in a good place too, a fair bit of choice there now, and lots of goodness coming up on the horizon. I'm looking to get one around that time myself. Persona 5 shortly after. I don't think you can really go wrong with either... Though I'd maybe say 3DS just for the greater number of great titles.

PS2 and N64 was the golden age of gaming for me As for OP I'd go with a 3DS. Sure it's not as much of a high powered gaming rig but it's got an extremely solid gaming line up and it's cheaper. I got one ages ago and didn't look back.
