Only as long as he feels superior to you. The moment he runs out of arguments (very quickly usually, because his demands are nonsense) he becomes extremely passive-aggressive. He effectively skirts around the forum rules, calls everyone disagreeing with him children and makes snarky comments that should get the attention of a moderator... but won't, since he's indirectly addressing a vague group. Who just happens to be everyone on the other side of the discussion. Doesn't help that he almost never uses pronouns. So basically he does what I do, but a bit too obvious about it. Of course, I only did that in the actual game sub-forums because the vast majority of them were morons. I saw a lot of good men die with their limbs blown off, covered in flaming wreckage or crushed and cut up so badly they couldn't be recognizable without usage of their tags or personal effects and that's valorous? I'll admit it was needed, the people that got gakked over there more then deserved it but...to stretch it that far? Maybe because I grew up when people thought we could all die any hour of the day from an enemy across the world so its different to me but that isn't valorous. Which is a negative I attribute to modern depictings of war. There isn't honor or glory there, that shit notion gets beat out of you in boot. You are there to kill the enemy or support the killing of said enemy by the people who will because Your Commander in Chief wants you there and he has reason to. It's a job, its a lifestyle but it damn sure ain't some juvenile macho COD fantasty. It's not a modern thing, it's always been present (at least as far as I know of) with the media and U.S. military. Obviously on some level sure, you need to appeal to that to have volunteers instead of an entirely conscripted military. But it has exploded since the end of the cold war
