Haha. The moment I joined team Peebee was when Ryder made fun of the nicknames for her bots and her response was something like, "hey, I call myself Peebee, what do you want from me?" Touche.

So, I listened to the soundtrack from beginning to end and I have to say it's pretty underwhelming stuff. I could only find two tracks that I kinda liked, "A Better Beginning" and "A Trail Of Hope." The rest are either repetitive action tracks or just too bland for me to notice. They really should've brought back Jack Wall and Sam Hulick to score this one, seeing as it closely resembles ME1 in many respects. I'll give it another listen to see if I missed any good tracks but I rather doubt it. Also, first soundtrack to miss the end credits song? What gives?

Honestly not trying to be jerkish but just what precisely has been the appeal of Mass Effect for so many?

I mean IMO it was one of Bioware's weaker franchises... SWTOR on launch was massively superior I thought for instance.

And what does it offer precisely that other franchises don't? I mean, you already have a decent variety of other sci fi, plus Star Control and other things which covered more or less the same territory.

As a game, it's unimaginative and mostly derivative, even some MOBAs are more fun to play....

And yet obviously it has all the fans... so just asking..

The combat tracks are pretty enjoyable and the licensed music is fantastic but yeah, the ambient soundtrack does leave a bit to be desired. What chunks of music I have heard are pretty good, it just feels like it doesn't really have enough to be noteworthy. It's a shame cause Hulick and Wall's stuff for 1 and 2 were wonderful.
