Finally picked up Ar Tonelico 2 again at the start of phase 2 where I left it and got a nice amount done over the past few days. Aheh, that said, if I had to guess with only a day left, I don't think it'll be quite enough to meet that 'deadline'. Apologies Sir Moe. :/ Though it was good for getting me back in. X) For a good while now, my attention span for game's has been borderline non-existent, so the fact I've been getting several hours in each day means its definitely doing something right. Anyways I'm a fair bit into phase 3 right now. Spent a few hours this evening gathering topics, cosmosphering, infelsphering and dualstalling (making up words here). Luca's in at cosmosphere 5 and already managed to catch me out (Not to mention make me jump! Rude) with only a tiny bit of weirdness, so looking forward to that getting 'worse' like I was promised way back when. Seems I got locked into her route too or something, which suits me just fine. I'd rant as to why, but her character arc hit a few spots personally during phase 2, so my better judgement says I'd need a few more drinks than I'm on right now (Which is to say none. Honest!) for something like that and to just summarise with .
Because . And did I ever mention that bartenders outfit? Heck, I know I did. And I'm gonna again. That, and Jakuri's presence in the party makes me just so godamn happy. One time villains as party members and similar such things I absolutely adore. As a side note, needless to say Cloche is delivering top content too, but I think I already mentioned I found her immediately interesting anyway unlike the last game's second reyvateil. The main plot's been somewhat haphazardously told, but things are coming together a bit and development happening in the subsidiary cast, so it'll likely do what the last game did and suddenly start working real well somehow. But the main crew's got me real invested regardless. I'll do my best to stick with it this time, but withstanding any out of nowhere nonsense I don't see that being a problem from here on out. Certainly not a knock against my opinion of it either, having left it so long. I think maybe I've done this with every RPG I've ever played bar Mass Effect and P4G. X3 Onwards! I can't wait for you to see the later levels. The later levels of Luca's has the best cosmosphere theme too. Uhh, yeah. Aurica. I didn't find her all that interesting until starting her route specifically, though that did manage to rectify that considerably.
Cloche on the other hand I've found to be great pretty much the whole time, and while not accompanying Luca in the phase 1 choice really wasn't an option, I did feel like a total ass for leaving Cloche behind in the situation she was in.
Heck, most of the original's character development came from underlying psychological stuff in the cosmospheres, so it taught me to be patient about expecting goodness from the characters. AT2 in general though's done a fantastic job of meshing a decent amount of development within the story on top of the cosmospheres, except maybe Jakuri, who where I'm at right now's mostly just been satisfyingly sassy, playing off the previous game and showing off her absolutely brilliant character theme.
But I'm sure we're getting to her. It's done great so far! Jakuri best girl. Anyone have an opinion on Fairy Fencer F? There's an expanded ps4 version out and I've been curious. Original one had a lot of problems though apparently the expanded PS4 version fixes pretty much all of them.
