This thread is for everyone who wants to practice their skills.
Haikus are poems that don't need to rhyme that express an emotion, nature or actions. You create an image by following a simple rule of 5 syllables on the first row, 7 on the second, and 5 on the third and last row. Tenkas are pretty much the same thing though you add two more rows with 7 syllables each. Originally, Haikus which used to be about human nature and humor were called Seryus, but with time, Haikus merged with those. Originated in Japan, now this practice is known worldwide by many writers and artists.
Haikus -> 5,7,5 Tenkas -> 5,7,5,7,7
Exemple of a Haiku:
Frisky, chilling rain(5) Splashes my face while I think(7) About past mistakes (5)
Exemple a Tenka:
Cold rain on my arms (5) Reminds me of my last trip (7) To Paris, in France (5) Where I lost my damn passport (7) But experienced my first kiss (7)
