As if China actually needed to defy a UN court. As permament members they'll just veto the attempt and with that the whole thing is dealt with, all neatly and lawful according to the UN charter.

What really needs to happen for the UN is to get scrapped. It's an ineffective bureaucratic maze that's burning through insane amounts of cash with terrible inefficient outcome in actual benefits. Anyone with a working brain can see that the current council structure with its veto system in our present day political reality is completely powerless. And even if the UN actually decides on something, nations can just go ahead and do it anyway because the UN got fuck all real influence to back up any of its theoretical authority.

Just like the 'League of Nations' it's an ineffective farce born from wishful ideology with no place in the pragmatic reality of politics.
