So myself and a few other members have found ourselves playing through a horror RPG, all around the same time. We all seemed to rather enjoy ourselves, and I know I was certainly taken by it. Adding to the experience was being able to look back at people's reactions, both on the scares, but also their opinions on what was an incredibly thought provoking game. So! Having thrown the idea out there that we make this into a regular thing and been met with some support, here's the concept: A day every week (perhaps every other week, or simply whenever's decided to be best if need be) is allocated. On that day, a game will have been chosen from a list of suggestions, by poll, at random or whatever. Everyone available plays through it, and we all have wonderful discussions here on it and the rainbow filled, sugar coated world of RPG horror. It would stick to that specific genre, for the time being at least. Such game's are (usually, of course) short, surprisingly well made if you know were to look, and perhaps most importantly for the idea: free. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, post! Give suggestions, feedback... The main thing to hear for now is what day would be best for such a thing. Otherwise, if there's support, we can start to get a list of games spinning up. I'll begin adding potential titles and info to the OP, including the one we just did if you'd like to catch up. And on that note, I can't stress this enough: Play the Witch's House. It inspired this little venture, taking me somewhere between 2-3 hours to complete. It has to be played blind, but its really quite incredible, and will give you the perfect idea of what we're going for with the rest of the list. Now, feel free to start making suggestions! A couple of discretions-
On downloads, I'll make sure I've linked to pages officially handled by each game's creators/translators. Accordingly, they should be quite safe, but exercise caution if you feel you need to.
Also, these are horror games. A few are likely to deal with with could lightly be called sensitive topics. Most game pages should feature content warnings, so please refer to those before playing if need be.
