So I caught up. I know SU has always had to truncate its messages a bit for the 11 minute format (should do more like the Bismuth episode), and I said it managed to pull it off well despite that, but I feel like condensing a PTSD therapy method into a song and 11 minute episode was not a great choice.
Also main character Peridot is pretty cool. But you can't just do something like that roadrunner episode so soon after the Jasper one IMO, tacky.
And about the way Steven is like "OMG Rose killed a gem? Wait we're fighting? Let me vent these five gems into space and an eternity of suffering." I suppose the hypocrisy is a feature not a bug, for him to realize later for maturation and loss of innocence and what-not, it's just awfully stark and it feels like this realization that civil wars often lead to pain and death is something that should have come a long time ago in this business.
Never mind that the wind from said venting shouldn't be nearly enough to escape the moon's gravity. And that gems are supposed to automatically adapt to any celestial body's gravity according to the last moon episode. And that floating by a satellite would mean having been blown directly toward Earth and almost all the way there. They'll probably be back at some point though. They're pretty cool.
I do like what they did with Jasper not drawing her out as some endless "I'll get you next time" villain.
But anyway, overall I enjoyed this last season and a half.
