Okay, I've decided to post this after a few days ago when Clones told me about a twerking Vader and Palpatine. I hope you guys enjoy it more than the Holiday Special!

I want them to bring back Thrawn, but at the same time I'm worried about it.

I dont really trust any writer to handle him well.

I dunno. Kylo Ren didn't make me completely turn my back on the EU and despise it like Jacen did. I hate that wormy little bastard more than pretty much anything.

I must confess I never did read the Yuuzhan Vong stuff. One time I made the mistake of trying the first book after Thrawn- and that book was poorly written as is.

Legacy of the Force Jacen though I thought was well done and pretty much how Anakin should've fallen. On the other hand he did kill Mara so he does deserve to get his shit ruined.

The Vong are the worst things about the old EU that was meant to be taken seriously. But everyone knows I really hated them.

They killed off Mara without even consulting Zahn about it, and what you said there is why I never liked him. He is literally just Anakin Skywalker with no sense of irony maybe more sympathetic. But Clone Wars made me pretty sympathetic to Anakin's turn since the Jedi were pricks, particularly Mace (I want to cut off Mace's hand too, the asshole). I feel like Kylo Ren being a huge nerd trying to be like Vader was a parody of how hackneyed Jacens story came off.
Hell might as well have a Palpatine Clone secretly possess Jacen during Dark Empire. It's stupid. But less stupid.
Would've been more interesting than just "I want to protect people and stop my vision of a horrible threat to the galaxy and I'll become a horrible fascist murderer man to do it. Oh wait! I was the horrible threat! (Yes, he later said it was Darth Krayt. But Krayt is another can of worms entirely)."
I find him a boring shell of a character that's been done before and much better in other fiction
Basically New Jedi Order and Legacy of the Force all felt like Fan Fiction to me, and I could never get into it. Mara was the straw that broke the camels back. They might as well had Caedus kill Kyle Katarn too. Take out all the better EU characters.
Also the guy they got for the covers just has the most smug, punchable face I've ever seen, even when I was supposed to like him.
