Kind of a tough call because, while I'm not quite happy with where I am now -- and $20 million would makes lots of things better real quickly -- I want to believe I'll have things worth living for soon and for much longer than 20 years. Some things are worth more than any amount money. And I feel like sacrificing that much life is a waste because there is so much you could potentially do with it, so I'm not a fan of flaming out like that.
Also, people can blow through their fortune a lot faster than they may think. It happens to lottery winners and retired entertainers very often. When you live big, suddenly the bills are that much bigger too -- it's the old adage of, "more money, more problems" (though, I tend to think money/problems is more like an inverted bell-curve). So in addition to dying early, lots of people would risk dying broke too if they do not manage the money really carefully.
