Saw it last night. Loved it. Ready to go back and see it again. I doubt I have much interesting to add to the discourse here. Any significant soundtrack in this movie or it had simply OT soundtracks remixes? John Williams is still John Williams (and I'm not a big fan), but he's much less heavy handed with it in this soundtrack than in the prequel trilogy. Obviously, there's a lot of returning themes/leitmotifs in the soundtrack. Mostly used to good effect for those beautiful nostalgic moments, and to reinforce plot points. There's some new stuff in there too, and some of it makes a statement. Rey's theme, to my ear, is a Harry Pottered up version of The Force/Obi-wan's theme. Kylo Ren gets the best music in the movie. It's a nod to music used with Dark Side in the original trilogy, none of that choral nonsense from The Phanotm Menace. Great brass statements over tight tension building phrases in the strings.
