Fiddling with page width and transparency on root beer, but man colors are a pain.

Hmm, well here is the custom style I'm using, it's not very complicated-



I imagine to replicate it you'd need to open the style sheet for Root Beer (9KIDHg5... .css?) and make the same changes I made in each of those lines (you can search for the beginning of each line to find where it is). You probably want to host the imgur files on this site, though.

I'd prefer to make all the text and boxes different shades of blue but that would be a lot of work when I'm just finding all this out by trial and error.

Actually hold on and I'll just edit the thing myself, that'll be easier.

If you use the root beer theme but replace the 9KIDHg5... .css with the sheet I linked (which you can download), that ought to work. But you will still need to replace the imgur files with locally hosted ones.

I noticed that the "scroll to" function does seem to be broken in Something Dark, and links like to send you to the first page of the thread.

In Root Beer it does work, and it's easier to find links for the first unread post.

This seems to be unrelated to anything I do in style sheets, since I can use the Root Beer sheet in Something Dark and it'll still misbehave.

Also using the Something Dark sheet in Root Beer does not beget the extra user information.

In Something Dark you can find this by clicking on a thread link in the main forum index, or in the "participated" button in the corner.

Any other link generally takes you to the first page of the thread, which is annoying.

In Root Beer it's more or less the same, but there's also a "last post" column in the subforums that will take you to the most recent post, which alleviates the issue somewhat.

And again, the 'scroll to' function doesn't seem to work in Something Dark, so it only takes you to the most recent page, not the most recent post.

My main issue right now is the themes.

Default Proboard kind of blows, but the Something Dark theme is a bit unreadable. Root Beer isn't bad but it's way too narrow.

We're doing okay on site space, so I'll look into getting a newer theme.

I've actually grown accustomed to its narrow style. Now if only I could change the background to something better.

Did you edit the style sheet for Root Beer?



The relevant lines you need to modify are lines 3, 91, and 887. Don't replace the lines, just change width to 1500px, and replace the banner and border image URLs with the 1500px versions I made. (preferably hosted on-site, not on imgur)
