But what is it?
...I'd start up my educational music number, but I can't rhyme for shit.
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is a series of videos by the group ThisIsIt. Starring 3 puppets, Yellow Guy, Duck Guy, and Red Guy as they are taught various important lessons, that eventually go horrifically wrong in some way.
The original short from 2011 being a sort of parody/terrifying subversion of your average edutainment series. And teaches the proper rules and techniques for being creative.

The 2nd video, done in early 2014 was a lesson about Time and our eventual demise.

After that they did a kickstarter to fund 4 more episodes, where the puppets would learn even more terrifying lessons, that will culminate in the final 6th episode, where the secrets of the universe are discovered. No really. This thing is in straight cosmic horror territory.
The kickstarter was successfully funded. Leading to the 3rd episode. A lesson on Love.

And Cults!
Episode 4 is about the joys of using a computer.

And finally we have Episode 5. The Penultimate episode. About Health and Nutrition. As this episode shows, the puppets are wising up a little, and the teachers facade is fading, given their song is off key and doesn't make any sense.
