As many of you know, the second Back To The Future film is the only time we actually see "the future". By that I mean "future" from Marty McFly's point of view.
So I wondered, how accurate is that representation of 2015?
Well we still reminisce about the 1980's. Heck there is a chain of nightclubs in the UK called "Reflex". Video conferencing is something that everyone can do thanks to Skype. Hover boards exist today, only they are lacklustre requiring an electromagnetic rig. Those trainers that Marty McFly wore in the film are probably possible but aren't being mass produced. Virtual reality is a thing thanks to the Oculus Rift.
You know what. I think the film did a really good job of representing the year 2015. The only thing missing is any mention of the internet. But I don't think people in the year 1985 realised how huge the internet would one day become.
What do you think?
