Yoda gives Luke crap in Empire about not being a suitable candidate for Jedi training (too old, not in control, take your pick). Even after the time he spends in Dagobah training, Yoda and Obi-Wan warn him not to go face Vader as his training is not complete. This is the same Yoda that now tells Luke that Rey knows everything she needs to after 3 meager classes with Luke where they mostly discuss philosophy? I guess your standards relax when you die or something.

This one is courtesy of my brother. If the reason why Holdo blows up half of Snoke's fleet is because they were in the way of her hyperspace jump, why didn't Vader's fleet got wiped out at the end of Rogue One when the Rebels jump into hyperspace along the same vector?

I would say first remember that yoda too has a lesson of failure to teach luke. Is lack of faith there might be jyst that and in doing so he's trying to prevent luke from fearing teaching. Also we necer see whats in the books it could all be fancy talk for dont be a douche. We got no idea.

As far the Lightspeed thing goes. Holdos ship had already accelerated too light speed if i recall the other rebel vessels had not they were still in the process of accelerating. That said holdos vessel had achieved huge potential energy that was immediately converted upon impact into unbridle kinetic force as the ship turned into light speed velocity projectiles. Ill have to rewatch rogue one but im fairly certain this is the reason.


Additionally i know mentioned before why not just launch the transports at lightspeed i think before? The transports were probably not equiped with lightspeed drives. Not all ships in star wars are lightspeed capable. It seems like it at tines but thats not always the case.

thats also a fair point but it's good to keep in mind that the original X-Wing (it was originally designed for the empire as a replacement for the Tie Fighter) and Y-Wing and B-Wing (Early A wings the jedi interceptor needed hyperdrive rings to launch if you remember) were semi experimental ships that had self contained hyperdrives. Most ships that small don't have hyper drive. Even then in some cases it's necessary to sink the computer to a larger guide ship without an astromech droid. If i remember correctly. 

I'ts a silly thing because it does just kinda show up when necessary and dissapear when necessary, like the list of personal ships with no hyperdrive will both shock and surprise you because the list of personal ships wiht hyperdrive is equally long, like no tie fighter has a hyper drive system that I can recall. Now why the other 2 ships didn't break away after they discovered the lead ship was only tracking the other lead ship that's got me. Because Nebulon B-Frigates do have hyper drive. (Medical Frigate)  So that's beyond me that ones got me. :? cause that would've made the most sense. 

Well, you have to remember that by some yet unexplained plot device, Rey has absorbed the knowledge and experience of one or more dead Jedi, as evidenced by Rey somehow remembering the temple. As Snoke explained, some random untrained nobody really shouldn't have been able to defeat Kylo Ren, and yet, somehow in the last movie she beat him anyway. I assume there's more to her than the movies have explained so far. So really, Rey was better prepared to confront Snoke than Luke was to confront Vader.
